the best kinds are the country style ribs no bones.first place ribs in a pan of watr with salt, black pepper, seasoned salt and garlic powder make sure water covers the ribs.bring to a boil and lower heat and cook for about an hour.then take the meat out of the water and place in your large crockpot.cover with a large bottle of kc masterpiece bbq sauce cook at least 4 hours.the longer it cooks the more tender the meat is!!! serve with mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, tossed green salad and dinner rolls it is great!!!! if you do not have a crockpot place your parboiled ribs in a roaster type pan or a 13x9 baking pan and cover with the bbq sauce, cover with aluminum foil , bake in your oven at 350 degrees for about and hour and a half.it is good!!!

If they are country style ribs, cut them apart, put them in the crockpot and dump BBQ sauce on them - cook on low all day.

If they are baby back ribs, find a good pork rub and really rub it in on both sides. Refrigerate overnight and the next day, cook at 250 for about 4 hours, brush on BBQ sauce and cook for about an hour more. When you cook them in the oven (prior to the BBQ sauce, tent them with aluminum foil.

All-American Pork Baby Back Ribs

4 pounds pork back ribs
Your favorite barbecue sauce (purchased or homemade)
Season ribs with salt and pepper.
Place ribs on a medium-hot grill over indirect heat; close grill hood and grill until ribs are tender, about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. (add more charcoal briquettes to fire, if necessary, to maintain grill temperature of about 325-350 degrees F.)
Finish by turning and basting ribs with barbecue sauce for the last 15 minutes.
Serve ribs directly from the grill or, for extra tender ribs remove from grill, wrap in heavy aluminum foil. Place foil-wrapped ribs in brown paper bags, close bags and let ribs rest for up to an hour.
Unwrap ribs, cut into serving pieces and serve with extra barbecue sauce.
Makes 8 servings
