When the chicken is done.. pull the pan out and sprinkle/toss the cheese on and stick it back in the oven for 5-10min. until melted. =)

A hint for crispy chicken is put it on a rack with a baking sheet under it with foil on it. Let it cook then put a spoon or two of sauce and cheese and let the cheese melt, It will not be soggy like most.

about 5 minutes before taking it out, i put the cheese ontop of the chicken, did you put the sauce on it and bake the sauce with it on the chicken? That is the best way, then the sauce kindof flavors the chicken and the cheese gets melted but not burned!

Well I don't know if you can make it with that kind of chicken. Here is what my mom does:

Takes thawed boneless, skinless breast and rolls in the parmesean cheese. Then cuts a slit in the chicken (like you were cutting it in half horizontally) and stuffs a little more insde the chicken. Then she bakes it.

To put it simple you put the cheese on before you bake it.

Take your breaded chicken patties and heat up some olive oil and brown them before you put them in the oven...less oven time that way...and then what i do is add some sauce to the baking pan, add the patties and top with mounds of mozz and parm and then add some sauce to the top of that...not alot...and bake at 450 for 15 to 20 minutes and it is good and the chicken doesnt get soggy at all...make sure the oven is preheated to 450 and that you warm the sauce in a pan before putting into dish

Yep, but I cook the chicken in a frying pan before it goes in the oven. You have to fry it in oil so the breading will be crispy and nice. The baking time is just enough to heat the sauce and melt the cheese.

It all depends on wheter you want it browned or just melted.

If you're just looking for a melt, wait until about halfway through the cooking process.

If you like it browned, then throw it right on.

Personally, I throw it right on.
Parmesan Cheese reaches its full flavor when browned, the same is true with most cheeses.
This is true because of the oils being released during the browning process.

Enjoy.

I put it on about the last 5 minutes before it comes out, just so the cheese melts.

You should put the cheese on after you cook the chicken, if you put it on at the beginning , it will be burnt to a crisp.
