I believe that to be a personal relationship with our God. I mean I always think of King Solomon's insight in the book of Ecclesiastes in the Old Testament. In chapter 1 verse 2 he states..."Meaningless! Meaningless!"
says the Teacher.
"Utterly meaningless!
Everything is meaningless."
What does man gain from all his labor
at which he toils under the sun?
Generations come and generations go,
but the earth remains forever.
The sun rises and the sun sets,
and hurries back to where it rises.
"...It just brings out the truth of how meaningless life is without God. I often hear people claim that their purpose is to love their family, work hard, be a good person, and so forth...and while I think those are great positions to hold, it just seems empty without God. I mean you do all of that for what?...just to die and be forgotten? I mean you have wonderful children, nurture them, help them grow, and then soon after you die they will too. It just seems that those purposes are empty without God. Ultimately the world is going to end somehow...everyone will die...I just don't see any purpose with that inevitable reality.
For the record I'm not a depressing person...I just think the Bible makes an excellent point about this.

The most important thing is faith. Faith the your kids will turn out ok and not end up on a building with an AK-47. Faith that when you stood before God, Family and friends and said "I Do" with this person, you both understood it will be "Till DEATH do you part"
Faith that when you wake up tomorrow, you have another opportunity to take care of the important things, your partner, your family, the children that are yours by birth and by blood. Faith that every day is a chance to get it right.

I would like to say something like love or family, but money is my answer.
It provides life's essentials, like food and shelter
It makes it a lot easier to enjoy life and live luxuriously
It's gives the means to quality education
It makes you more attractive to potential mates and thus helps you find love
It's enables you to provide for children and other dependents
It gives you the means to change your life when you feel the need to
And so on...

Loving and being loved, and enjoying every minute of life. Well, at least trying to enjoy every minute =) Feeling free and having hope also ranks high on my list of importance.

God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). Without Them, there would be no life. Psalm 63:3 "Because Your love is better than life, my lips will glorify You."

Life in general. It's amazing we can understand things like life so abstractly.
