The science of kissing is called Philematology. Many people face severe anxiety and fear over kissing. So most of the studies are by psychiatrists. For pretentiousness sake they like to call kissing osculation. I don’t think that works, that word seems worse than the word kissing.
People with knowledge and skills in this science not only don't have as much anxiety about kissing but also get the second, third, and on dates. While everyone can kiss not everyone can kiss well. -

or kiss as in KISS -- the band xD
yes, well if its for a high school assignment, just consult websites, they dont check references and plus a lot of kissing sounds like a subjective thing, so u can't really go wrong about saying anything that seems to have some substance to it, lol
