according the Christian thought we are all blessed with certain spiritual gifts. I am unfortunately not big enough on compassion. I am nice and kind but I don't have intuition enough, but my gifts lie in teaching and organizing and pastoring. so each has gifts. Compassion is very important in life, but some of us have to work harder at it than others.

Not necessary! The need to serve others may come by being employed in the service industry. (Many who work in this capacity could use more compassion, for more meaningful service). The answer is no.

compassion is the key in serving others.
With compassion comes love which covers all. Impossible to hate so it is easy to forgive. Easy to get on with people. Contentment of mind. Don't forget humility. I am truly blessed. I send love and blessings as you seek the path of righteousness. One love.
