Well i could have told you not to buy from walmart, unless your just riding like once a month. You should have invested in a nicer bike. But for the chain problem, if you replaced the chain and is now making new noises and problems, this means you have a problem with you cranks.
Take it to the nearest bike shop and get it fixed. A broken crank could end up in a serious injury.

If this bike has gears, it's trying shift while you are pedaling. You should be able to watch the chain and detect what's wrong if it's in fact a gear or chain problem. You should feel the pedal slip or free wheel a little if it's trying to "jump" gears.
However, it could also be the bearing in the pedal "making a noise." This would cause the pedal to stop for just a split second.
Got pedal brakes? Check those.
Most bike dealers can look at it and tell you what's wrong with it for a few bucks. Some will tell you for nothing, hopin' you'll let them fix it for a few dollars. In another words, take it to a bike person and let them fix it for $10 or have your broken leg fixed for $1000
Go to walmart.com and click the contact us link. Explain the scenario (sequence of events) that you when through with the local walmart with no results. Make sure you use a professional approach (especially writing techniques) in the email and you will get satisfactory results from the corporate office. I know this is hard to believe, but Walmart is revamping the customer satisfaction policy.
Good luck one way or another

well first off never buy a next bike. but that loud clicking isnt anything serious. just tigthen every bolt on your bike with the right size wrenches and what not. you will definitely want to take it into the bike shop and ask for some kind of full maintence/tune up. if they find broken parts they will ask if you want to buy new parts. if there are a few parts. say no and buy yourself a new bike.

why do you think they call it NEXT? They are so cheap, with no adjustments. I bought 1 to see how long it would last. We rode it 4 days and it disintegrated,
Anything used from a bike shop is better than anything new from wally world

You should do what we did...stop shopping at Walmart because all their products are cheap quality crap and it's not worth saving a few dollars to end up with a bunch of crap when you could buy decent stuff somewhere else and avoid all the headaches of Walmart..they suck!

take it back and make them refund your money and the money for things you bought there to repair it. Get the manager involved if need be and tell them you will contact headquarters with your complaints if this isn't handled. You have been beyond reasonable with how you have handled it and now its their turn. If that doesn't work, contact the local news.
