Its like right next to his nose and the vet didnt even know what it was! they gave him antibiotic and said it could have something to do with a broken tooth he has, but that tooth has been broken forever. Could it be cancer or an absess?

We don't have much info here to work with.
I think the antibiotic would probably be the first thing to try. check for small puncture wounds in the area , I suspect an infection .

I'm really surprised that your vet did not tell you more information. Please ensure that you have a competent vet. I learned this the hard way, now I ask lots of questions, get copies of their charts, etc. And do like you are doing and research these problems yourself.

You need a vet to tell you what they are thinking and why they gave your cat an antibiotic. They may have to pull the tooth - but they should've told you what their plan was. I'd be worried as well, hope you can get a hold of them tomorrow and find out what you should be watching for.

best wishes to you and your kitty!

If the cat has had a broken tooth, it could be scar tissue that was irritated by something (maybe when he ate)- scar tissue will often swell up and look kind of like a cyst. This happened to my dog's tail and it went away within a month. If your vet said it was alright then it most likely is alright. Don't be afraid to get a second opinion from another vet though.

Let me tell you a story. My dog had this giant bump on his nose all of a sudden, and we got worried when another one appeared to. So we had him tested with a Biopsy, and everything was fine except they didn't know wat it was so they scraped a sample of it. It was harmless and they gave us some cream to bring down the bump. You should still ask for a biopsy on the cats nose though just to be sure.

It could be either an abcess or a tumor. Did your vet take X-rays or do a blood test? Biopsy? If not, you need to find a competent vet.

properly thinking "we've had over 4 cats shot and killed via a neighbor that lives in the back of us, bc he loves to shoot issues for relaxing" it o.k. could be a bullet or bullet wound. WTF?? Why do you hold allowing your cats out understanding there is somebody like this on your neighbourhood? you assert this is "organic" for cats to roam unfastened. yet are you fairly this egocentric which you think of cats ought to easily proceed to DIE because of the fact of your cluelessness? shame on you. i'm hoping you're purely some bored teen questioning this is "humorous" to post issues like this. properly in simple terms in case it fairly is definitely taking place i'm monitoring your IP address and letting your community animal administration comprehend you have a cat which you're denying vet care to. perhaps then they're going to concentration on battling you from ever having pets back.
