I have braids and everytime, in less then 3 weeks they start getting frizzy and dull looking. I wear a du-rag every night but that doesn't seem to help. what else could I do?

why would you keep braids in for two weeks without washing them but if you want put a ton of hair spray in it

Gosh, your braids last that long? I usually keep mine in only a day or two. I think the secret is in the braiding. I always braid my hair when it's wet, and then use a gel to keep it smooth. After braiding it tightly, and securing the end with an elastic band, I use a little hair spray to keep the unruly hairs from popping out.

Are you talking about artificial hair or your own hair? Your own hair will get fuzzy after one overnight unless you have tiny brains and they will fuzz too in a few days. If you had professional braids added to your hair I'd definitely ask your hairdresser the best way to take care of them. Have you seen rasta type braids? They get fuzzy!

Are you adding any oils? That might help.
