I've liked the same guy for 5 years now, and we've been going to different schools for a little over two years. We were really good friends when we were younger, but I would feel intrusive calling him "just to talk" now because he's really busy with sports and advanced classes.
Plus I'm not sure what to say if I were to talk to him... Kinda pathetic considering we used to be close friends...
I don't want to be annoying, but I don't want to lose his friendship either... (Right now I'm not looking for a "relationship" with him because all the other high school relationships I've seen haven't worked out, and most end bitterly...)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Buy him a fun card at the drugstore and drop him a quick note to tell him that you've been thinking about him and hope all is well with him. Keep it simple - he'll probably respond. Especially since it isn't an email or a text - everybody does this & it doesn't stand out as being special.

yes just talk -- if he likes, as a friend, then he will make time for you and treasure the times you talk ---- best wishes
