The spiritual gifts poll made me wonder. It's not that I think that *anyone* who answered the poll that way is doing this, it just made me think of it.

I ask because in the past I've noticed that *so* many people list discernment as their spiritual gift --- and a lot of the same people who do this are the same ones who are obsessed with tearing down other peoples' ministries, etc. It's almost like the spiritual equivalent of how everyone thinks they have good taste and has the ability to be Joan Rivers, ya know?

Just wondering what you all think. Thanks! :)

Absolutely! I once had a friend who always claimed "iron sharpens iron" before he was going to bludgeon you with his particular theological view. After a while I dropped him.

No.It is the truth. Those that are unwilling or unable to point out error in doctrine do not have the gift of discernment. This you can verify for yourself by reading Scripture.

Sure there are. People find a way to do things wrong all the time!

But if they are saying the truth, and it has context within it, it might be a good thing to take it to heart.
