tattoo ideas!!!?

i'd like some ideas as to what kinda pictures i should use as a tattoo. i'm thinking lower back, left shoulder, around the ankle, or around the navel. i like dolphins but i don't want the tattoo to look too kiddy, else might look like a sticker. ;)

peace sign or 4 leaf clover, two dice or 2 wings... don't do lower back or stomach( if your a girl) when you get pregant they streach

A tattoo is a permanent thing. You should think about getting a tattoo that means something to you, or to commemorate something. If someone asks you what your tattoo means, are you just going to say that you wanted a tattoo and you like dolphins? When I was younger I thought about getting a goat tattoo on my stomach. That would have been a huge mistake. I still like goats, but who really wants a goat tattoo? Also if it was on my tummy now after two kids no one would be able to tell what it was. You should try watching LA Ink, or Miami Ink for some ideas, aslo you could check out their website. I think its on TLC. Good luck!

Only get a tattoo for yourself!
It is a personal thing, I don't understand how people can just go into a shop and ask for "That one"
Think of something that means something to you, something that will be with you forever and that you will want to be with you forever. Tattoos are permanent!
I have a beautiful purple, pink, blue & white peace dove with her olive branch in her mouth, I drew her myself, and beside her are the initials of My husband & daughter.
I also have a Blue & Pink Yin Yang on my wrist, this tattoo symbolises not only my mum and dad but everything that exists in the world.

I love dolphins too! I think you should get one! The way to make it not look kiddy is to get someone who specializes in photo realism to do it. Find a photo of a dolphin you love and the tattoo artist will make it look just like the photo. It will only look kiddish if its one of those cartoony dolphins.

A dolphin on the left sholder jumping out of he water would
look really great.
especially with a wave under it.

A small one jumping over your ankle bone would look good too.

Three jumping out of the water at different heights would look
great on the lower back.

I was told not to do anything on the stomach because if you decide to have kids, it'll stretch out and then it won't look the same after your stomach goes back down. the back, shoulder, and ankle are are cool. Just make sure you choose something that is meaningful and not just because it's cute or pretty or something.

I got one of my tatoo ideas from a t-shirt. I liked the print and copied the part that worked for my ankle. I turned it into a "family tree" type. Put my kids names into it and added hearts for the grandchildren. Look in magazines,library books, etc. Your tatoo artist can do awesome things for you.

google image search or yahoo image search dolphin pics. with a really good tattoo artist and the right shading it shouldn't look "kiddy." but remember to talk to your artist so they know exactly what you want...they aren't mindreaders. :)

i knew someone that had a dolphin tatd behind ear not on the ear but the head right behind the ear it looked pretty good it was black i have a sleeve that is a coral reef but i dont have any dolphins in it
