No, no reason at all to do this. I think maybe you have this confused with the old wives tale of not to go in swimming until 30 minutes-1hour after eating. This two things are in no way related or necessary.

Um, no. Sitting in a bathtub is hardly aerobic exercise, which is what you're really trying to avoid by not swimming. The don't swim after you eat myth has nothing to do with being immersed in water... I mean, if it did, you'd have to worry about getting rained on after eating.

no... and you don't have to wait that long before swimming, either.... butin my experience drinking a lot of liquids before swimming hard is not something you want to do... lol i get horrible cramps from that.
