Speak for yourself John. "Darker skinned" than what? Some Yahoos are black!
God does not make garbage. We are all one family, as relatives. We're the family of "personkind".
Christians DON'T feel uncomfortable thinking of Jesus as a darker skinned person like the Arabs.
He might well have been, coming from the middle east. So what.
I don't remember the "eye witness" physical descriptions of contemporary witnesses (including non believers) like the contemperary historian Josephus.
I read Josephus' physical description, decades ago; but all I remember was that Jesus was handsome.
God is a Spirit, and we, His children, are non-ethnic SPIRIT souls, not stuck forever with these frail mortal frames.
If you are prejudiced, remember we ALL descened from Adam & Eve (and Noah's family) so you are my Brother, if God is your Father!
You could have been born Arab yourself!

No it does not make Christians feel un-comfortable or different in regards to the color of Jesus skin. Being Jesus was Jewish, he had a skin color of a good tan or olive colored skin. He had the Jewish characteristics and I would worship Him , no matter what. I don't consider Him to look Arabic, but for sure Jewish.

Jesus was Jewish. There is a very thin line that that separates Jewish people from Arabic, although Jesus spoke Arabic and Hebrew. Its a very, very thin line. And in the event that skin color is all that important to you, do Jewish people skin wise look any different from Arabic? They all share that olive tone.
But to answer your question, I could care less if Jesus had been black with oriental features and spoke with a spanish accent and dressed like a frenchman. He is the savior.

No not at all.
This makes the most sense.
In addition to Arabs the Middle East has always had people of African decent whom we would consider black.
I think he was at least an Arab with a darker skin tone.

Honestly, it is very bizarre that some believe that Jesus has to be white! But there are some that do, and even worse there are some Christians who despise the Jews!
Thank God these people are in the minority and do not control any real power in the Christian community.

To be honest I sometimes think that I must be missing out on something because I don't get a picture of God (although He once walked past me-not showing his face) I don't get a picture of Jesus in my mind. It is a bit metaphysical. I hold some sort of important roll in my church but if they only knew what went on in life they would kick me out. I am banned for eighteen months for something I did. But fortunatety I was given another job before I was caught out ( helping to minister to woman) Ho hum. I prefer working with kids. They are so innocent and cute. nOt sure how long this job is to last for. Could be only on the week ends. God does not tell me before hand. He is a creative God who gives you an outline of what is to unfold. My job is to use my brains to fill in the human part of the story. For exmaple if God tells me that someone is going through a phase then I have to use my brain to work out how to fix this problem. Most times he will give me a picture of a person who is going through hell and when I turn up ready to do the job, it is often another person He was referring to. Thishelps me because I get nervous and He does not want to be too controlling. If he told us everything to do then it would not be fun. I really love doing God jobs but get sick of God jobs where I have to make men feel better about themselves by flirting unless they r young and I don't mind too much. Young teenage girls r also a problem.

No because that is probably what He looked like. We know He had brown chesnut hair and where He lived there was almost constant sun, so it would make sense for Him to be dark-skinned. He probably looked like a normal Jew.

No - it doesn't matter what he looked like - it would be a bit shallow to get hung up on that.
He was the Son of God among us - and he must have been beautiful in so many ways, especially to be around.

No, not at all, Jesus had in His bloodline virtually all races alive at that time. Seriously, check the begats ... not the fathers, the mothers. They came from all over! lol
