Yes, it does very much.... I had to wait 7 years before I could join my dad, waited 5 yrs after that to get citizenship, had to wait almost 2 yrs. before my wife could join me in USA. She is in this country 7 years and is still under process to get her citizenship, and now I hear that someone who intentionally committed a crime by entering illegally, or overstaying their visit visas will probably have the same right as I do, that makes me think, " WHAT THE HECK DID I GO THROUGH ALL THAT PAPERWORK,AND WAIT FOR?????
I probably should`ve done the same act, that`s the message I am getting that it pays to break the law...

i think of that amnesty is incorrect, they're right here illegally jumped the border, enable their visa's run out despite, they have not have been given any magnificent to declare citizenship. that's a drag on the economic device as properly as on our medical field. people who say that this united states substitute into in keeping with immigration is nice, in spite of the undeniable fact that that's immigration, those human beings a number of our ancestors had to pass by using screenings, medical histories, call variations, and in case you weren't healthful or had no skill, then you definately did no longer get into the country. that's the version, immigration substitute right into a extremely diverse than immigration the place you bounce the fence or rigidity get admission to. Amnesty is incorrect, this united states is strained as is, being 28 understanding that as quickly as I retire, SS purely isn't around, there are adequate human beings on welfare interior the country, can we certainly could characteristic 12 million extra human beings to welfare? I understand the generalization, in spite of the undeniable fact that that's one i'm prepared to make. i understand that no longer all illegals might take welfare, there are some which will do the jobs that human beings wont, in spite of the undeniable fact that that's a rigidity that may not needed right now.

Tancredo, Ron Paul, and Hunter have the most conservative voting records on immigration.

http://www.betterimmigration.com/candidates/2006/prez08_gop3.html
http://www.betterimmigration.com/candidates/2006/prez08_gop1.html
Of these three, Ron Paul has the best chance of winning the Primary election.
Paul's campaign has almost 5 times as much money to spend as Tancredo.
This is his six point plan:
Physically secure our borders and coastlines. We must do whatever it takes to control entry into our country before we undertake complicated immigration reform proposals.
Enforce visa rules. Immigration officials must track visa holders and deport anyone who overstays their visa or otherwise violates U.S. law. This is especially important when we recall that a number of 9/11 terrorists had expired visas.
No amnesty. Estimates suggest that 10 to 20 million people are in our country illegally. That’s a lot of people to reward for breaking our laws.
No welfare for illegal aliens. Americans have welcomed immigrants who seek opportunity, work hard, and play by the rules. But taxpayers should not pay for illegal immigrants who use hospitals, clinics, schools, roads, and social services.
End birthright citizenship. As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be citizens, the incentive to enter the U.S. illegally will remain strong.
Pass true immigration reform. The current system is incoherent and unfair. But current reform proposals would allow up to 60 million more immigrants into our country, according to the Heritage Foundation. This is insanity. Legal immigrants from all countries should face the same rules and waiting periods.

The NAFTA Superhighway might be another significant threat to American borders.

I have a legal immigrant relative and her and her family members that have waited 7-13 years to come here are totally against illegals. They are sympathetic, but feel like these people should have obeyed the laws.

Yes, it makes me angry. It also makes me furious to think that the Democrats would consider giving amnesty to a bunch of criminals....not just the illegal aliens but the illegal alien drug dealers, gang members, and the ones in our prisons. If they get amnesty, they are ALL ours. They can't ever be sent back to Mexico then. Legal immigration is fine but these illegal aliens have to go.

I have spoken with several immigrants who came here legally and all have told me it bothers them to see so many people come here illegally.
Hopefully more legal immigrants will answer your post and give their view.

I will tell you what makes me ****,is the fact that Americans have sent our kids to war and IF they come home they are in need of government assistance, and cant get it,but our government can give all the assistance to a foriegner because they are minority,I am 3rd generation immigrant,my family has worked hard to build this country and we have lost our family to war,but because we are middle class we are supposed to keep supporting illegall ingreats? I am proud to have the right to bare arms,I think Im going to need that right.

It's awful because lots of people did it the legal way and skipping ahead illegally shouldn't be rewarded.

I get mad when people call any solution "amnesty"
I also get very mad when people turn illegal because of the bureaucracy and the inefficiency of the current immigration system...
Lou Dobbs never mentions that...he never shows the people who waited in line but find out their case was lost or mismanaged by the underfunded and undermanned USCIS...
I have NEVER seen you try to get a larger quota and I have NEVER seen you try to improve the current immigration system so more can come legally...I dont even buy that you are for more legal immigration
