Without pulling my hair out? She never wants to get up to go to school during the week. It stresses me out.

We try to make sure our 3 year old goes to bed early enough the night before. But sometimes that just doesn't happen and he doesn't want to get up. On those mornings, I just sound really perky (not angry) and loudly and cheerfully yell out, "Good Morning!!" Then I open up the blinds in his room to let the light in. This usually makes him open his eyes and then go back to sleep. Then I go really close to him and yell out, "Heyyyyyyyyy...Good Morning!!! Ready to go watch TV??"

And that does the trick. He jumps out of bed excited about watching TV. He gets to watch for a few minutes and then I get him ready for school.

Hope that helps. Remember...it's easier to get them up if you don't sound too angry. Just sound like the perkiest person you can be.

Regards,
mari

Similar problem with my 3 yr old

We made a sticker chart for her and let her earn stickers for every good thing she did in the morning (getting up outta bed without being a grump, brushing teeth, washing face, helping with breakfast, putting dirty dishes in the sink) Lucky for me, she loves stickers and we she earns enough stickers she gets to go to the library with an aunt or Gramma with no sibblings.

The biggest help was letting her pick out her outfit the night before and putting the special outfit where she can see it from her bed, if she has a good morning she wears what she picked out which can be denim shorts and pink fuzzy snow boots, if the morning does not go well she has to wear another outfit the parents pick out.

I make sure I put my 3 year old to bed early so that she can get 10 hours of sleep and then wake her up playfully. I also turn the TV on to cartoons or just sing to her and tickle her.

With my son, I bring the tickle spider (which is my hand) and I start tickling him. He turns over a few times trying to get away from me, but its not long till I have him laughing and awake.

Put her to bed a half hour earlier, and she may feel a little less tired then she usually does.

sometimes you have to threaten your babies with a little thing called a tickle monster and tickle her to death and she'll wake up laughing and smiling and you will be happy non-stressed and you'll have fun doing it.... i know it sounds harsh but it works and you will calm down and stop stressing.... just try it.
