If you find a private party buyer who is interested in all your upgrades you might be able to get even more than 17K for it. It all depends on how much the buyer is willing to spend for all the upgrades he gets to have without any of the work. I would suggest putting it on EBay, Craig's List, or around here we have a magazine called Auto Hunter, if you have something like that where you can send in a picture ad that would be good. But if you take it to any dealer, they will look at your car and pretend that not a single uprgrade is there, because to them it is not worth a penny more, which really sucks when you spend so much on it, but that's the way it is.
Your best bet is to post ads where you can add photos so people can see how much different it really is than a normal Navigator.
Good Luck!

Since your car is so unique, it is well worth atleast 20,000. It sounds like you have put alot of work into your navigator. There is a buyer out there dont worry! I wish you best of luck in selling your car!

to be perfectly honest...... the car is only worth 12,000 it doesnt matter that you have put so much into it... basically people are more inclined to look at the engine and bodywork condition.. And if they want to spend 17,000 thay will look for something newer...

its a special car and needs a special buyer, so its not imposible, it just takes time

Post you car with lots of pix from upgraded parts in craigslist, and keep the post for a while. dont forget the "FOR SALE" sign!

hint: upload the pix somewhere like photobucket.com and put the html code in your list.
