I am also wondering why they can't accept others wish to have a seriouse conversation about something and not have evangelicals try to convert them?

i will talk about my beliefs when someone asks and do make it quie obviouse on here with my avatar but people can approach me for a descussion or a interfaith understanding

they want others to believe what they do so they can feel validated and it's definatley not out of love(christains i'm talking about). And sure you can have a hug. an imaganary one of course. Have a nice day.

I don't know why people so enjoy talking about their religion to people who do not believe the same as they do. Am I the only person who believes that religion is a very personal thing - and I would only want to discuss my beliefs with like minded people. I have no interest in changing other peoples' minds and I would dearly like the same courtesy shown to me, and you can lots and lots of hugs - and if 'they' leave me alone 'they' can too.

It something that's stronger than them. They are trained, they are not sure inside of what they believe in and seek confirmation in others, that's why they keep trying to convert people as if that reassured them, as if the fact of having more or less people thinking like them would tell them they are right. It would be really interesting to point out that Jesus was the only one thinking as he did in his time and even after his death Christians remained to be a minority for a long time, and even today they still are.
I can't find any other explanation.

For Christians, it is called the great commision. We have been commanded to tell people about the good news about what Jesus did for mankind. However we were not ordered to to argue and bikker if it is rejected by someone. I will share my faith if the opportunity arises and someone asks me to or asks me why I do certains things in my life-style.
