Naaa, you sound fine. How fortunate we are to have contacts to bring your vision up to normal. Back in the old days, people like you and me wouldn't see the tiger sneaking out of the woods and would get eaten...thus we would never have reproduced.

Since we have glasses and less worry about tigers, people with bad eyes live as long as people with good eyes. Thus, over time, more people who need eye correction.

contacts definitely! I'm a contact wearer and recently got glasses but I hated the glasses (so many restrictions!) They keep on falling and you can only look straight(if you eye ball up or down it obviously gets blurry) but with the contacts you have fewer restrictions. Contacts lenses are safe but some idiots don't follow directions and they don't have proper hygiene that they end up with a red eye or worst! no offense to anyone but it's the truth as long as your responsible and have proper hygiene you shouldn't have any problems at all. I would recommend you to get the daily disposable ones or the 2 weeks ones since it's recommended to get them disinfected every night to avoid problems. Also use clear care it's a great disinfectant. Most importantly always follow your eye doctors directions. And to the person on the bottom it's common sense why would you even need to look for them on the ground maybe if you were more careful it wouldn't have felled on the floor duh!

U mean -2.25 for the right and -1.25 for the left, or +1.25 for the left? If u are near sighted then both of these numbers should have a minus sign infront of them. However, if one eye has a minus sign, and the other eye has a plus sign then it means u are near sighted in that eye w/ the (-) and far sighted in the eye w/ the (+). In this case u are using one eye for distance and one eye for close up and that might be what's causing u the problem. U need to inform ur doctor that u are still straining ur eyes up close and he/she could fix that problem. It might not be the issue of glasses vs. CL, it could just be that u need a more proper prescription. Being right handed doesn't necessary mean u are right eye dominat. I'm right handed but i'm left eye dominant. I prefer to use my left eye although it's my weaker eye. Check out the attached site, it'll help u determine which eye is ur dominant eye.

You shouldn't wear your contact lenses for 20 mins before an eye test.

If they're both minus you really don't have bad eyesight. If one is minus and the other is plus it is maybe a little more complicated but not bad.

Its not that bad. Dont worry about the numbers, nothing much you can do about it other than surgery! But you are too young, your eyes are still changing.
