k...um...when did the iraq war start? did it start in 2003...if it didnt can u tell me anything big that happened in 2002 or 2003?

Offensive military operations began on March 19, 2003. It's the anniversary of my initial enlistment in the Navy, so it's easy for me to remember.

That was the 17th time he broke the UN resolution stipulating the terms of the treaty of the Gulf War of 91.
Also the entire world had evidence that he was gathering materials to build a nuclear weapon and had chemical and biological weapons ( He had already used them on his people before)
Many people believe that the WMDs were transported to Syria while the US was debating whether to go in or not.
