Feel free to post a link to a better one if you want, but I'm wanting a fleur de lis tattoo on my back or shoulder-I decided on a fleur de lis because it's a symbol that's come to represent New Orleans (where I live)...please let me know which one you like best! And whichever I go with, it will be just black and white by the way... (and please be nice-thanks!)

I really love the second one.
Fleur de lis have always been a favorite design of mine.

i hav thought about getting the same-shaped tatoo! my reasoning is rather sad. I saw it in the Three Musketeers on that husband-killing woman's shoulder and thought it was cool. I would get it on my wrist, hav more than one color in it, and maybe a banner or snake wrapped around it? But that's just me. Before you go ahead and get the tatoo make sure you have it drawn out and know how to describe it accurately as you picture it or else it might turn out totally different. Good luck!

The beauty of black and gray work is that it is great for showing dimension. Sadly, I am not that happy with any you picked.

While this is a bit masculine, there are other options out there for a fleur de lis - http://www.ratemyink.com/?action=ssp&pid=34474

I even like this one better but hard to see...http://www.ratemyink.com/?action=ssp&pid=38395

My point is, you need to have some sort of dimension to the piece..if you choose one of the other designs be sure your artist modifies it for depth.

the second one is totally more feminine...which I think is important in getting a tattoo on certain body parts, including the back and shoulder. it's different, too. i think you're much less likely to run into someone with that exact tattoo. happy inkin'. :)

I like the second one...its the most feminine. The others seem to be the more traditional design.

I think the 2nd and 3rd one are more feminine. Its really a tie between those two. If you plan to have it shaded like the blue is in the 3rd one that may really make a black and white stand out well.

If done in just black and gray,
you will get the most detail
from 1or 4. Good clean lines.
Good Luck

Number 2 is my favorite because it looks less ckookie cutter. But why don't you just go to a tattoo artist and ask for him to personalize it just a little for you? I mean, it's on you for life!
