I will tell you why I need it. It is a comfort to me in times of darkness. It lights my way on the dark pathway of life! It gives me direction when I have lost my way. It gives me hope when I run low and think all is lost! It gives me strength when I am weak. It gives me knowledge and God's will for my life! It tells me that God loves me and is not counting my sins against me! It tells me that God is the same yesterday, today and forever! He sits on the throne and I am His child and all will be well! It shows me His plan for our future! It also says that one day, God will personally wipe every tear from my eyes and do away with death! What an awesome God! His mercy is everlasting! I need His word like I need air, food, water! Man does not live on bread alone but every word of the Lord! In other words, we have to feed our souls and only He has the right food!

God's Word in sanskrit is known as Pranava. The representation of this word is the sound AUM. The AMEN is derived from AUM. By constant practice of the chanting of the Word , It becomes established within you. This sound is permeating all of the creation. It is eluded to in the Zen question, What is the sound of one hand clapping? In Stillness you may hear the Word!

Man cannot live by bread alone but by the every word of god,we are body ,soul ,and spirit,our bodies are fed on nourishment and exercise,our souls are fed on Love and our spirit is fed on the word of God we need a balance of all three

Since God speaks to us in a multitude of ways, we need something concrete to compare what he is speaking to us. What God speaks to the believers heart will never contradict his word.
