no, thats perfectly normal, after all, why do you care what other people think, as long as the two of you are happy, thats all that matters

It is not that big of a difference, really. The older you 2 get the smaller the difference will feel. You are both adults and can do as you wish and anyone who gasps does not deserve to know you. Just follow your heart and be happy because that is the only thing that counts anyway.

The age difference between the two of you is not that great a lot of people marry people who within a 2 to 12 year age difference. Those people who are gasping are not doing it because of the age difference more likely it's because of jealousy. The women because you got him and the guys because he got you. So keep ignoring those people.

Age is nothing but a number. that's all. if you truly love and care for someone then it shouldn't matter how far apart you are in age. I am 31 and my girlfriend is 21. The thing is I knew her for over a year before we started dating and I was actually married at the time. The fact that we were friends before helped out and she actually helped me get through the divorce. That right there showed me she really cared about me.

Don't let it bother you. It's not really, that big a gap. I do not see anything wrong with it. Now days, people expect other to date people their exact age. It shouldn't always have to be the case.

That id fine, you are clearly old enough to make such a decision as to who to date. If it was a 40 yr old and a 48yr old no one would question it at all. As long as it works for you both, then enjoy your time together!

Well I think you think he's told old for you and that the relationship isn't right or you wouldn't get embarassed. So something about the relationship is bothering you or you wouldn't have asked this question. I think that you're too young at 22 to date someone 8 years older than you. I guess it really up to you to decide if he's too old for you. I you real young looking and he looks old?

Its not really following the gentleman's rule:
Half your age plus 7 years
(that's the cut off line)
