YOUR AGE BY EATING OUT

Don't tell me your age; you probably would tell a falsehood anyway-but your waiter may know!

YOUR AGE BY DINER & RESTAURANT MATH

This is pretty neat.

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute. Work this out as you read ...
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to go out to eat.
(more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1757...
If you haven't, add 1756.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your original number. (I.e., How many times you want to go out to restaurants in a week.)

The next two numbers are

YOUR AGE ! ------ (Oh YES, it is!!!)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2007) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS

WOW! I'm posting this on my myspace profile...could I, please? You know, to spread it around while it lasts.

How do people come up with these things?

It is plain old math. When you are finished with the 1757 and the 5x50 those (1757+250) numbers add up to this year which = 2007. When you subtract your birth year from this year you get your age as a 2 digit number - no magic required. When you multiply the eat-out number x 2 x 50 you get 100x the number. That becomes the leading digit of the three digits so you can see it sitting there in front of your two digit age.

it is cute but not a miracle.

wow! i worked :)
that was cute indeed. i have 2:

first game:

write the # of your birth month
multiply by 4
add 13
multiply by 100
divide by 4
subtract 200
add the day of your birth date
multiply by 2
subtract 40
multiply by 50
add the last 2 digits of your birth year
subtract 10500

*i'll explain after the second game...
----

second game:

add 18 to the # of your birth month
multiply by 25
subtract 333
multiply by 8
subtract 554
divide by 2
add the day of your birth date
multiply by 5
add 692
multiply by 20
add the last 2 digits of your birth year
subtract 32940

----

now for the explanation! in both games, the answer you get should be your birthday listed by month, day, and year :)

sorry it was so long =P

hate to burst your bubble........ but every year they come out with the same thing. They change the number you add.

But it does work. Just like it has for all the other years I have done this in the past......

This is nothing new. This has been done for years.......
