They do all fight in wars but they do different things. Like the navy approaches situations from the water, Air force the sky etc. The risk depends on your job in the branch. ex: A pilot in the air force is a risky job while a Intelligence analyst in the army is not as risky (It does have its risk but not as much as a pilot). Education is big in the air force and certain jobs in the other branches.

Army, Navy, and the Air Force are somewhat sane thinking about military endeavors. The Marines on the other hand think suppressive fire is normal for all encounters.

If you have to make a decision about what service sticks their chin out the farthest, waiting for a jab.... It's the Marines

Yes, all branches are risky, but if you want to be the first in with the most risk (special forces not included) go Marine.

Navy clusterbombs the area

Marines go in and clear the Area.

Army holds the area

Air force flys over to see if things are ok.

Seriously though they Air Force simply treats their people better. The Marine corps are the best trained. Navy can do the most with the least ( In every way you can interpret that) Army is best on defense (more troops, aircraft, vehicles, and guns than all the others)

Each is a separate entity within the US military. Each performs specialized functions which enhance the overall effectiveness and strength of the military as a whole. ?Sometimes their applications of specialized force appear to be redundant, ie; Army Special Forces and Navy Seals for example. However each trains for different contingencies and applications. The jerks with the stupid comments above owe the freedom to make those stupid comments to those who have and are actively sacrificing on their behalf.

I know the Air force is more technical jobs along with flight line type operations. When I was in the service, I supported all branches with my job. Can't speak about the rest.

rico's got it right. If I had enough points I'd give a thumbs up.

Criticize the military if you like. Ain't freedom of speech wonderful. I'm guessing a lot of the critical folks got their freedoms for free.
