too small to recognize. Had a mammogram then 2 ultrasounds on same day. Shouldn't they check on this "something" sooner?

There are several factors that doctors take into consideration when they want to "observe" your findings. The age of the patient, family history of cancer, the findings on the mammogram and ultrasound. Mammograms usually give clues if the mass is malignant or not. Your doctor might think that it's not malignant that is why he wants a follow up after 6 months to see any changes in the findings.

I think that is a fair question. Why don't you ask? If for some reason they want to wait longer ask why to see if it makes sense. I also would rather do something sooner than later. Some things there is a reason for waiting, but I think we should be told the reason. That way it will make sense to us.

i think that if your doctor isnt that concerned about it then it's probably not a big deal..maybe they are giving you 6 months to see if this "thing" develops into anything...if you are still concerned you can always get a second opinion, from a different doctor.
