This is what will happen.
According to me the infallable grand high mystic ruler,
YOU will arrive in heaven. There will be a gate. Out from the Gate you will be greated by all the people who you have helped in this life. They will shrug there shoulders. Laugh probably bust your chops a bit then they will put you on there shoulders anounce that you have arrived and they will have a great big party.

If you are an atheist then why are you asking the question? It sounds like you are questioning your faith (yes atheism is a faith). The same thing happens to all of us no matter our religion of choice. What that "same thing" is one of the many points that separates one religion from another. The question becomes who is the closest to be believing the truth.

This question has many different answers as you should know depending upon the person and their chosen religion, since my chosen path is that of Christianity I would think that what the King James Bible tells of denying Jesus would answer this question so if interested in this answer - Seek and yea shall find!

Well..... Like the other person said, since you dont know God, you will spend eternity away from Him, and the place you spend that is in Hell... sorry to say. But its not hard to get into Heaven. All you have to do is give your heart to God, repent and follow Him. Pray that He will come into your life and you can spend all eternity with Him in Heaven when you die. I will be praying for you, please think about it. We dont have everyday, and you never know when you will die or when He will come back!

I am of the opinion that what happens when we die is what we think happens when we die.
I highly recommend reading "Johnny and the Dead" by Terry Pratchett for a humorous but profound take on the subject.

You will go to hell unfortunately. But dear sir, you have followed a religion, the religion of atheism. And it is a belief that you follow, you have faith in things too. Just not the right ones.

Well, then you'll just die.
You'll slip into nothing-ness. Everything about you will be gone. Your memories. Your thoughts. Your voice. Your emotions. Your desires and hopes.
Extinguished.
If you're buried, you won't replenish the earth, you'll be in a casket. Full of preservatives. you'll just slowly rot in the dark.

The worry of what happens to you when you die is what makes all religious people hang onto their faith, they use this belief to convince themselves that there is a life after death, I think that these belief`s are used as a safety net because they cant handle the truth.

If you have heard that there is a God and that his Son is Jesus who died for your sins and you choose to disregard this as myth then you are going to Hell. Sorry....
If you have vagly heard of some sort of God that exists and that's the extent of your knowlege then you will probably end up in purgatory for a very long time until you come to your senses.
