It's like any other skill, it depends on whether you are interested in it, and willing to put in the effort and practice to train yourself to be able to do that....

Yeah lucid dreams, already exist. I can't fully control my dreams, however, on the rare occassion, I am quite aware that I am dreaming, and I can change certain things from happening to me. It' such a weird feeling, and I've been meaning to explore into this further, by writing journals, however, when I do attempt to do so, I tend to forget about my dreams, probably because I am putting too much pressure on myself to dream, that particular night.

I don't think it's a very good idea to control your dreams.
vivid dreams are a rare opportunity for your sub-concious mind to help us solve problems in our mind.
In our dreams we play out scenarios, romantic, scary, sad etc. but this is all done in the minds safe mode sort of like auto pilot no one gets hurt and we feel no guilt over what happens.
As soon as we control our dreams we effectively switch that safe mode off, so whose to say what is reality and what is fiction. If you hurt someone in your dream and you are in control of the dream, then you would feel great guilt and if not then possibly phsychologically you would be damaging yourself at a very basic level.
To control your dreams could very well be the first steps towards madness and a risk I'm not prepared to take personally.

Why do you think people who lucid dream are special. This is a skill I taught myself, and anyone else can teach themselves over the course of a few years. It can't be learned in a day!

The way to do this is to go back to sleep after wakening up after several hours of sleep , when you're not in a deep sleep . Trouble is i always wake up at the good bit . Then i'm not tired enough anymore to go back into that state but it's great . I love it , like warping but you remember little about it afterwards . Except that it's time for work .

i think that dreams are determined by the most prominent thought throughout the day, something that really sticks in the mind.
when you next go to bed, clear your mind and think of something that has pricked your thoughts in the day, could be anything like a news story, road rage, something said at work, anything really.
see if you dream about it. try it over a week and i bet anything you remember relates to what you were thinking of.

hi mista, i really think we are so so close to it. i can lucid dream when i start meditating before sleep. so many people meditate now, and look for a deeper way of relaxation, i found out by experimenting that i could do it so i guess lots of people will start realising that they can do it too.

i think thatour dreams were meant to be mysterious and that dreams tell us things that we need to know and that we should not go messing around with controling our dreams.
but someone will do it within the next 10 or 20 years.

sometimes i do, i will wake up, and i want the dream to end on a good note or a romantic note. so i go back to sleep telling myself how it will end, and it ends in that way.
sometimes i think we do have a little power in our dreams, after all they come from our creativity..........................................
