awww!!! absolutely not!!!! maybe they just do not feel the need to say anything. i, for example, dont really say anything to them if their hair looks good. i know it sounds weird, but the way i feel is that if their hair came out well, then someone other than me is going to notice, so i concentrate on the people with the really jacked up hair cuz they most likely do not have anyone to tell reassure them that they look decent.
hunn, if thats your hair cut in the pic, then you got nothing to worry about, i think it looks pretty tight=]

No, could be multiple things, usually comes down to your ability to read people, to make an educated assumption about what they "might" be thinking. Really your best bet is to requinize is that EVERYONE is insecure, NO ONE has a wonderful life, and were ALL pretty lost on whats going on. So with that in mind don't ask general question about the behavior of people, were a bit more complicated then birds.... but really like most social animals we are pretty fing complicated, atleast when it comes to indivdiual opionin. Which is why you should worry about such things at what a person thinks about your appearnce, to the right person it isn't a problem....

I'd think that if it was a radical change, (like an Afro to a Buzz),
someone might say something.
If they don't say anything, maybe it's because it looks natural or it fits.
Long and short of it is... wear your hair the way YOU like it.

I had blonde highlights and dyed it real dark and it took 2 weeks before ppl even noticed and then everyone loved it

Nope. As long as you like it then go with it! If you don't like it then maybe your natural expressions are showing it and people don't want to say anything about it.

Not necessarily. It could mean that your haircut looks so good and that others are hating on you because you look good.
