Check out the non-profit section on monster.com or try this website: http://www.volunteermatch.org/. The volunteer match website has a search feature that will find non-profit volunteering opportunities in your area, and you can contact them individually about open positions. Good luck!

Try looking at jobs posted on Craigslist. It's one of the best places I've found to find listings for non-profit jobs. The listings are cheap for the company and non-profits are often cheap in their recruiting process.

United Way supports a number of non-profit organizations, you could check out their site at www.unitedway.org
or, if there is a specific subject of interest to you (youth clubs, churches, animals, homeless, food banks, etc) you could look it up in the yellow pages. If you want to look up the reputation and address of a specific charity, you can find information at www.give.org website.

The best advice I can offer is to go to the local library and ask the librarian for assistance.

I usually go to the reference desk for this assistance.

Thank you for asking your question. I enjoyed taking the time to answer it. You did a great job - not only for your information, but for every other person interested in reading my answer. Thanks to everyone for reading my answer.

Try www.guidestar.org. It's pretty complete.
