sound like you have no idea what you have gotten into. Kittens are babies. they require doctor visits, training, play time, sleep time, litter boxes, and just lots of care.

If the bf doesn't want him, you should look into finding him another home, or return him to where you originally got him. Again, he is a baby, and you are supposed to shape him over time to be a good companion cat. If he is causing this much stress so early, he may get mistreated, or ignored. neither is ok.

Check out web sites for raising kittens, or even a book! Asking questions will always leave you one step behind what you can be doing, and getting educated will keep you a step ahead.

Play with your kitty! Get some toys at Petco or Walmart and play with him (the kitty, that is). Maybe then he won't bite and scratch at you humans. Kittens are rotten! >^..^< You should have known that before you got one! Also, if you get him neutered (the kitty, that is) that will settle him down some, as will growing up. He's just a playful kid right now.

If he's a male kitten, he'll out grow the biting and scratching. Males haves a great personality if you work with them. They will tear up your house if you let them. Animals naturally are afraid of loud noises, so try wrapping up a newspaper and smacking your hand with it. If that doesn't work use it on his butt. That usually gets their attention. Be sure to get him fixed before he gets to old or he'll spray in your home to mark territory. If you got this animal for bf and didn't check on how to care for him, ya'll might want to remember that in future, in case you get rid of the animal and opt to get another, or have kids. They are a living creature and get use to their surroundings, and imagine how bad it can be for him if you easily do away with him in your home. [ AND REMEMBER IT WAS HIS HOME ALSO, BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO REMOVE HIM] I fully understand how you feel, but I've had all sorts of domestic animals and I try to think how bad it will be to remove them from the home they have acclimated to.

Sounds like he just wants to play. Buy him, the cat, some toys and see if that doesnt stop it a bit.

If that dont work, lay down the law and show him who is boss. Sometimes you just need to do that. Dont beat him , again the cat, though.

as he gets older he'll get better he will always scratch the furniture but you could clip his nails and you should get him a scratching post that will probably distract him from the furniture.
