You do not need a passport for travel from a state to state in the United States. You will need some form of government issued ID. Such as a driver's license.

You do not need a passport to travel inside the United States and Hawaii /Alaska. You do, however, need to have a picture ID (driver's license or school ID) to fly.
Passports are only required when you travel outside of the U.S. by train, plane, ship or car.
If you need to travel by ship to another country before next year and don't have your passport yet, you may still travel if you have proof that your passport is in progress from the USPS. The Post office will give you a completed form with your passport number and an expected date of completion.

Apparently you don't know what a passport is... The whole POINT of a passport is for international travel. So the answer is no, however, you do need a photo ID, so you CAN use a passport if you don't have a drivers license.

You need some form of photo ID that is acceptable to the airline you are traveling with and the airport you are traveling through. An American driving license is best but if you don't have one of those, your passport is your next best bet. They will not accept anything without a photo in my experience.

Nope, just a valid I.D. and maybe your social security card. Passports are only needed for international flying so that when it comes time to coming back to the USA, they will be able to know you are a citizen or on a visa. Good luck.
