I remember I was at work, an hour away from my daughter. I just wanted to go to school and take her home. A very sad sad day.

I woke up the morning of 9/11 to the news of a plane hitting one of the Trade Center buildings. As I was watching the news, another plane was shown coming around and smashing into the other building. It's an image I will never get out of my mind. At first, shock and horror filled me. Then when I found out it was a deliberate attack on our nation, my shock turned to anger. What amazes me is that so many Americans seem to have forgotten what it means. It's the main reason our troops are fighting in Iraq. Now people want to pull out. If we do there will be many more 9/11s. Teacup, this was a very nice thing for you to do, God bless you for it.

thanks, that's so nice. I love Canadians...they're so nice. even tho thats a stereotype i don't care, you people are great! haha anyways i can't believe its been 6 years since that's happened :( it is and was very sad :( I will never forget it. I visited the site 2 years since it happened and it was sooo empty there, it made me feel like I was missing something, it made me feel lonely and sad....yeah i miss the twin towers. I went in there when i was a little kid, but we couldn't go all the way up, i don't remember the inside at all but anyways i do remember the outside and to know if you were standing and looking straight up and having that building fall straight down must have been very terrifying.

While it happened on the soil of the US. It affected the entire world.
Like you, I was glued to my TV non-stop. Matter of fact, I remember driving into work when it happened and how it was the weirdest traffic flow id ever seen. And that was about 15 mins before the attacks.
