I recently opened up a bar in a small new england town, everything has been wonderful but last week one of our young (30 years old) regular of all regulars was murdered. It has set the saddest tone over the bar, and it's becoming unbearable to be there. Even for me. I want to bring spirits back up, and bring business back to how it was, but I don't know how to conquer this horrible morbid gloom that has set into everyones hearts. Any ideas or advice would be much appreciated.

I would play all of his/hers favorite music, and form a big party in their honor,...tell everyone, that they wouldn't want you to be unhappy, and that you think that in their spirit, they would want you all to continue to be happy and have fun..so form a big pot luck, post some nice photos of the person, and have a fundraiser for their family...dart contests,..lots of free food,...and even get a band that they liked...spirits will be high because people will feel like that they are doing something in their honor...And put a beautfiful prayer under their photo..

A nice wake would be great. Have some bands play, maybe some of his favorite music. If he was a regular he wouldnt want the other regulars to leave the pub, after all is the people that make a place. it would even depress him, im sure, to see the pub so empty.
