If you look up in the origional greek language, when the Bible speaks of prophets that word prophet does not mean someone who tells the future. That word actually means "A Truth teller." So all a prophet does is tell the truth (God's truth). So yes, there are still prophets today. There are also what would be called false prophets. Someone who takes God's Words and twist them, or who just lies.

I know people who are passionate followers of Jesus Christ and who are truth tellers. (or prophets) So yes, God does!

"different Christian"s have a proof for this? they do no longer! maximum have no concept and no solid reason that's exactly WHY the LDS theology that God keeps to talk to His infants by way of His Prophets is SO great and conceivable and mandatory in our international right this moment! If God is definitely "the comparable the day previous, right this moment and perpetually" then cutting-area-day prophets & revelation must be actual and believed! truthfully He loves His infants right this moment in simple terms as much as those of historical situations.

Depending on which definition you want to use I would say yes. I question anyone claiming something to be "God's will" though. Far to much damage in life is a result of man claiming to know what any god might want.

No he never did.

Men have chosen to appoint themselves as prophets throughout history and in every religion. It is really a way to gain power and control, nothing else.
