I would agree that 2T is the next size from 24 months. I never really could tell the difference between 24 months and 2T. I think it might be that they are slightly bigger. Like in pants they tend to be longer in 2T. I am not quite sure.

I thought 2T, 3T, 4T corresponded to the same age 2, 3, 4 etc. That is until I actually had a toddler - he is almost 3 and wears size 5T.
He is big, but I doubt most 2 year olds stay in 2T for most of their 2nd year. Probably fits most kids between 20 months and a litte over two.

according to Carter's, 2T is 29-31lbs (or 13.2-14.1kg) and 34.5-36.5in (or 88-93 cm).

Its for two year olds. I dont think it has anything to do with slim, or tall or husky or anything.
