Both are equally bad, so is talking while driving. On an episode of mythbusters, they did an experiment testing if driving while drunk or while on the phone was worse. They had two seperate drivers talk on the phone while driving an obstacle course, they each had a person from the DMV in the car when they did it, they then did the same with each of them JUST over the legal limit for the State of California, and then drive the course, they both did equally as bad each time.

Both are stupid and careless, and have the ability to cause a potentially fatal accident. I can't really say which is worse, because with drunk driving, the driver's perception is skewed, and they are unable to have quick reaction times or sound judgment. With texting, or talking on a cell for that matter, the driver is paying more attention to the phone and the conversation, and is not giving full attention to the road, thus not having a quick response or good judgment. See the similarities? They both suck, as well as the assholes who commit these acts.

I don't understand how a person can do text while driving. There was a very bad accident recently in my area involving three young girls, and the driver's phone was doing text at the time. All three girls died. Was awful! I would say that they are both bad!!!!!!!!!

Either one should be punishable by death. Cars are NOT TOYS, and life does NOT have a reset button. If you can't handle the responsibility of driving, stay off the f-ing roads.

Both are bad for your health. Either can get you killed or badly injured. So both are about equal because both take you concentration off the road. So watch out for the other driver, because he may not be watching out for you. If you get my drift.

Both...you need to be watching the road and other drivers at all times. I think they should make cell phones illegal when behind the wheel.

Both are stupid and should not be done. There is only one thing that should be done while driving...Paying attention to the road!
