Is Vodun and Voodooism the same thing just different words for the religion?

Vodun is the religion of Voodooism. IT started in Haiti and has migrated to the US with Haitian immigrants. The first of these were to land in New Orleans, thus the great influence of Vodun in that area. Vodun is now active in 37 of the United States.
