that the world is ending in 2012? i dont believe it but i've heard that someone read that the world will end in 2012. has anybody heard anything?

I have heard of the theory that the ancient Mayan calender ends on December 21st, 2012 A.D.
This is when a fare amount of doom Sayers say that the humanity will either have to go through one of these three cycles:
1) Many apocalyptic disasters disasters.
2) Will enter an age of true enlightenment
3)Humanity will have to go through many trials before they reach the age of true enlightenment.
Personally myself, I do not believe that this will be the case, at least not so soon. After all, there have been so many prophecies about the end of the world that have been false and sounded very convincing before they were proven to be incorrect so personally myself, I wouldn't worry about it. I feel that we should just do what we can do try and make this world and the lives of others be turned around for the better.

Old question, use the Discover button. Based on ancient Mayan calendar which was only completed up to 2012. They ran out of pics of puppies and 1/2 naked firemen I guess.
Buy a different brand of calendar and live forever.

i dont know if you believe in God or not (i do), but here is what i will tell you:
jesus christ was preaching to his disciples and said this,
"Always be ready, for you do not know the day nor the hour in which i will return."
so, modernly speaking, nobody knows for sure when the world will end. people just pick certain dates to get people all worried.

I saw a fictional Hollywood movie (don't recall which one) where that year was given, but it was just fiction.
You know how rumors start.
We'll know for sure in six years.
