The only way to fix this immigration problem is by having a “comprehensive immigration reform” But there has been a continued support of worksite raids which have had terrible repercussions, including the separation of children from their parents, increased racial profiling and intimidation, and a growing sense of fear throughout the nation’s immigrant communities. A better starting point for repairs to our immigration system would include adjusting the status of undocumented immigrants, supporting family reunification, and enforcing labor laws that protect immigrant and non-immigrants alike.

I only don't like the ones who claim to hate America and try to turn it back into their homeland and DEMAND all the time and refuse to abide by the laws or speak our language and fly a foreign flag while they burn ours and talk about take over etc. while they use and abuse the freedoms of our country.

Alot of these new immigrants need a darn attitude adjustment. Their anger and hatred isn't for what was done to them.....they are carrying a bundle from centuries ago that has NOTHING to do with them. Heck....what about the Irish? They were treated worse than blacks. What about the Japanese? There's a whole lot of people that could be crying that aren't. A whole lot more with more justification than what these guys are. I mean you want to carry from century to century some heard about injustice....go ahead. Most people came here to FORGET about it and move ahead. Not punish and get revenge.
I did trace mine back.....they gave up more....had a more difficult trip....they had to learn English and didn't DEMAND a thing. They were just happy to be here. That's long, long before freebies and public schools and welfare and all the rest. They had their name changed...they adapted and they were GLAD to. They got along with the native indians and every other group that came here.

I've met tons of immigrants and the ones that are thankful to be here simply for freedom.....make me so very proud to be American. They think learning English is the LEAST they should have to do. Heck they even go so far as to call it an honor to pay taxes. They don't EXPECT or DEMAND anything. They are THRILLED to just be allowed to be here. That is the difference.

No one likes arrogant, demanding, dis-respectful, hateful, people. Legal or not. We have to tolerate the legal ones.....we don't the illegal ones.

The immigration debate in the U.S. is about the difference between ILLEGAL immigration, and legal immigration. The ancestors on one side of my family has been traced back to 1653. They immigrated here in accordance to the laws that were in place then......essentially none. There is a huge difference today. We have immigration laws, that are necessary to maintain our form of government. The illegals, first of all have shown that they have no respect for our laws, and do not want to assimilate into the American culture LaRaza is a good example of this. I do not hate immigrants, but I want all immigrants to respect our laws.

Immigrants are defined as those who have process the paperwork and have entered the country LEGALLY.

Illegal immigrants are those who have come to this country in and illegal manner and should not be here.

Which are you talking about? I don't see hate I see the call for those coming her "illegally" to be sent of out the county.

My wife and family members have received NO HATE as immigrants to the USA, they have felt welcomed. Perhaps because they did it the right way LEGALLY.

I don't hate immigrants...I hate ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS!
Calling an illegal an "undocumented alien" is like calling a crack dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist".
When you liberals learn the difference between legal and illegal, then come back to us. Until then, if you want to improve the plight of Mexicans, do it in Mexico!

Who says that hating immigrants is popular? Americans are rightly concerned that we have between 12 and 20 million illegal aliens in our country, and these criminal invaders have the audacity to demand amnesty! Well, how did that work out for them. We patriots hounded our pols until they cried uncle and defeated the amnesty bill.

Legal immigrants are okay; illegals must go home! Enough said.

They don't hate immigrants--they hate low life illegal aliens that break the law-suck our welfare-ruin our school tax base-drop pups here-refuse to learn english-have no medical or auto insurance and demand we take care of them! USMC 60-68

Nobody is talking about hating the immigrants. To be an immigrant you have to enter the country legally. We dislike and fight against the criminal foreign invading trash that cause economic and criminal problems in this country. Then again you already knew that you just thought this was an original question and obviously needed some attention so here ya go, your 30 seconds.

If I trace my family back, yes they are from somewhere else, but I am from here. I don't like illegal immigrants because they are opportunists, manipulators, criminals, yada yada yada. Get in the back of the line and do it the right way, then we'll respect you.

It's not. There's a backlash against illegal immigrants, but I think the really virulent hatred is reserved for our 'leaders' (all, AFAIK, citizens) who willfully thwart the will of the people by stubbornly refusing to enforce immigration law.
