former MM1,stayed in the HVAC industry and currently own a coil manufacturing plant.

How long were you in? I am a retired Machinist Mate and got into Hydraulics and sailed in the merchant fleet I now work for the Govt as a Marine Mechanic or outside machinist for a Naval Shipyard where I live. Look also use your GI Bill and take a welding class it will help down the road also should want any more info feel free to e mail me.

Don't know about the weapons part. But in Dubai which is one of the few places on Earth that they make recreational submarines, they are always hiring. You might want to check them out. If you go on the web and look up recreational subs, you can find several companies. Good luck. Oh yeah, the pay is fantastic.

My Father in law was 20 years in that rate. He was at Alameda NAS, assigned to the Midway when he retired (1966). He went across the estuary to the Naval Supply Center Oakland until being retired from that in 1979 doing the same job for much more money. What's up in WA. CN and VA for sub specific jobs? Probably a waiting list at Pearl and San Diego?? Add to that the civilian possibilities you should have skills in need at many places.
