1Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Don't be so defensive. I'm asking if you do. I'm not throwing accusations. If I was, I'd say it in my own words, but I'm not.

As salaamu 'alaikym, my sister.
Insha'Allah, I was raised as a Catholic and spent some years in a monastery. I have known Christians fromthe U.S. of A., England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland, Canada, India and Ghanna (to name but a few countries.). I have met a few Christains who try to pracitce this but, sadly, very few.
Ma'a salaam.

Friend, it says that we are first to get rid of the stuff in our eyes and then we can judge correctly.
Jesus certainly talked much about checking out the fruit in people's lives, being wise as serpents, etc. So we are commanded to judge and consider things - but only after our own hearts have been cleaned up. But it is not to be judgment of condemnation but rather, like Jesus, a judgment of love and mercy....

Of course not. The point of the law is to expose your need for redemption. Recognizing and accepting the grace given through Christ is what makes one a Christian.
Put another way, even if it were possible to do all these virtuous things, it not necessarily make one be a Christian. He or she could be something else or nothing at all.

To be perfectly honest, I do the best I can. Sometimes I do better than others, but that is part of the fall of Adam. We are a sinful and prideful people.

If the Republicans were to include this in their moral rhetoric. I might respect them. But they have gone out of the way to say they are morally superior to the Democrats.
That is why it is newsworthy, whenever their members are caught acting up.
If they took the stance that we are all sinners, and that no one is better than his fellow man, then I would have pity on their members who were caught these Gay Sex Scandals.

Actually, yes Christians DO follow these Scriptures.
But how about you?
Are you accusing Christians when you, yourself are guilty of falsely accusing Christians?
Did you know that whenever you point your finger at another, you have 3 others pointing right back at you?

I realize my mote is big. I never expect people to do or be something which I myself can't do or be.

Yes! Are you saying we are judgemental? Would you consider Jesus judgemental? He's coming back to judge the world, you know! Will you be ready? I am.
