I add it to my dogs kibble instead of canned food- not everyday, maybe once or twice a week. He also gets a little plain yogurt everyother day now because he has been on antibiotics for a few weeks.

i have a dobe, and give her cheese when i need it to wrap a wormer in or something, any cheese will not hurt your dog if given as a rare treat just be careful of your dogs weight, but then if you have a dobe like mine, weight has never been an issue.
sorry, i'm not gonna be like any of the others and lecture you, so please forgive me if it seems that way.
i'm not sure about what you heard but all i know is even the tiniest bit of cheese gives my dobe wind...BAD!

I give my Dobies cottage cheese and plain yogurt a few times a week. It is excellent for them as a little treat. Just don't give too much.

Well... I give my dogs cottage cheese too.. You have to watch you don't supplement too much calcium depending on the dog food you feed.. Your dog could end up with kidney stones... Maganese and high calcium is a recipe for disaster.

I don't give my dogs a lot because my guys are really small dogs. Just a teaspoon.

I've given it to my dogs. I take cottage cheese, mix it with fat free yogurt and freeze in dixie cups. Cheapo frosty paws.
