well my friends that stops sounds are made with an obstruction of the airstream but according to English phonetics and the manner of articulation of consonants it includes categories as stops, fricatives, affricates, nasal, liquids and glides. So, according to it nasal and stops are different
Stops are /p,t,d,k,g/ just these ones
nasals are /m,n/ and that one that is like a "n" with a hook . I guess i´m reading a so old book that is not updated about and they refer to nasal stops(which is impossible according to manner of articulation)

anyway, thanks for all your answers and willingness

Stops are consonants with no airflow in the oral cavity. So by this definition, /n m ŋ/ are stops.
