700 million idiots.

You sound a bit disgruntled to me, must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

I own an Engineering firm and I am looking to hire two to three new Engineers, So I was trying to find out what the going salary rates are.

I don't own a Mercedes I own a Mustang GT Convertible if you must know, and the wife has a Mini-Van.

Going Bankrupt is for losers!

My Project Engineers prepare design documents.

I feel sorry for who you work for.

You should realize if you were truely an owner of an engineering firm that the salary level is dependant on what type or discipline of engineer your talking about, where your located, what type of workload you plan for these people, what benefit you gain from them having a PE, etc.
If you are truely interested, you might research a job site like Monster. They typically have data on salary levels.

Not one of those are engineers !
A project engineer does not design anything

I'm a Senior Design Engineer

I find your question a tadge insulting

Owner of Engineering firm has a Mercedes and several holidays abroad every year or is bankrupt with the wife owning all the assets (like the family home)

See the attached website for some good info.
Some of it depends on what type of engineering it is.
