I feel like there is only so much I can do with him! But I feel like he is getting bored!! Besides playing with him myself, sitting in his bouncy and playing on his playmat, I just don't know what to do!! There aren't many toys geared for 3 month olds! Any suggestions??

what about the toy that they lay on the floor and it goes over them and they hit it and bat it around (the toys that dangle).
my kids liked the swing.
Go for a walk with the carriage. Or go for a ride in the car and walk around the mall. You can go in the toy store and I am sure you will find a lot for that age. You will have to help with the entertaining of course!

He is still in his own world.... he doesnt understand word Bored... Believe me... he is trying to learn new every minute.. he is trying to recognise people and in his mind all this develope like print..

so dont worry.. if he is not doing any thing he wont get bored....after 2-3 months you can show him colourful rings and small toys , he will enjoy that time...

Dont be panic.. he is fine

Just take him wherever you go. He will get lots of varied stimulation this way which is what your trying to do when your playing with him anyway. That and bonding, which you will also get when you take him everywhere.

Now when I say every where obviously there are limits but I mean take with you when you go to the store, go for walk, go to a restaurant, go to the movies etc.

This will also get him used to being in new situations, different surroundings, different people etc and he will become comfortable with traveling, meeting new people and sleeping in unfamiliar places. (Like when you go on vacation etc.)

You could read to him, or take him out for a walk and show him things like grass, leaves, watch it rain (from inside), talk to him while you do things like cook, laundry, etc. and just let him absorb all kinds of stuff in daily life so he can learn. His little mind will be thinking about all these wondrous things we grown ups think are so boring.

Here is a link to Programs for babies at the Burnaby Public Library. Check out what your local public library has to offer. Yes, they really do have programs for babies who are 3 months old!

Even if you don't attend a program, the library has a lot to offer in other materials/resources. Ask a Children's Librarian if your library has one. They'll have tons of things to suggest for your baby! Songs to sing, ways of interacting with your baby, and a chance for you to meet other mothers, fathers, caregivers who have other ideas to share.

Hope this helps!

Maybe you should enroll in a Mommy and Me Swim Class (or Yoga or something like that.)
You could read to him. And help him sit up and roll over, etc.
Sorry, I may not be too much help, but my cousin enrolled in a swim class when her baby was like six months old.

My kids used to love peek-a-boo, and taking them by their ankles and bumping their little butts on the floor lightly. It's a great game if you put it to music such as "the wheels on the bus go round and round." I love babies. Mine grew too quick. Enjoy him while he's still so small.

You can do things like patty cake or play five little piggies but you have to act like its the funnest thing in the world or he wont buy it! you can also try to find what makes him smile like musical toys or things that light up.
