Global Warming: Cause or Effect?

We are aware that Global Warming is becoming the largest single issue of our generation, but is it the cause or the effect, THE disease or A symptom? Global Warming has only been happening for 50 years or so, less than a single lifetime. What happened 50 years ago? WHAT CAUSED GLOBAL WARMING?

Abrupt climate change is the
subject of a recent National
Research Council report that says
the likelihood of sudden climate
shifts needs to be studied more
closely especially given the
current global warming trend,
Scientists don’t know enough to
predict when abrupt changes will
occur but they know from the
Earth’s history that periods of
gradual change, like now, were
punctuated by episodes of severe
floods and droughts and sudden
changes in average temperatures 33
degrees Fahrenheit in 10 years
in some places.

global warming has a lot of the less intelligent in society fooled. this is sad.

they want to believe sooo badly.
but, in reality, science isn't about belief. it's about facts.

quite frankly, there have been dire predictions similar consequences to global warming since the 60's.

these include:

famine
mass death
shifting of food production regions
climate change
overpopulation
global cooling
mass starvation
massive glaciers
uninhabitable places on earth
running out of fossil fuel
pollution physically altering man (through adaptation)

all this was supposed to happen by the year 2000, and if man didn't stop using fossil fuels. we had 30+ years of "irrefutable data" showing that man caused it too.

but we didn't stop, we used more!

STRANGELY, NOT ONE PREDICTION HAS CAME TRUE YET!

now, we're supposed to "believe" global warming is "real"

I've written papers on global warming and addressed audiences, my usual approach is to start with a question in order to engage the reader / listener (if you start with a question people will stick with you because they want to know the answer). Similarly, dangle a carrot to keep your audience in anticipation.

"If I were to ask you whether global warming was real or not what would you say?

"Well, maybe something I'm about to tell you will change your mind but first some background information..."

Global warming is just the Earth returning to its normal state.

http://www.lakepowell.net/sciencecenter/paleoclimate.htm

The geological record shows that the Earth is normally hotter than it is now. For about 80 million years, during the Cretaceous and Tertiary periods the Earth's average global temperature was around 22ºC, compared to 14ºC now. For about 55 million years during the Triassic and Jurassic periods the Earth's average global temperature was again around 22ºC. For a brief million or so years during the Permian period the Earth's average global temperature was above 23ºC. For about 25 million years during the Devonian and Silurian periods, the Earth's average global temperature was again around 22ºC. For about 50 million years during the Cambrian and Ordovician periods the Earth's average global temperature was around 22ºC. There were four major Ice Ages during that time span, we are climbing out of one now.

My God, Pamela is smokin' hot and causes local global warming and Tommy Lee and Kid Rock to fight like male sea lions. This is all based on Doomsday, Dr. Strangelove, stated without proof data, and expensive computer models.

"Global Warming" is the new darling catchphrase of out of work politicians and the "Consensus" alike, but where is the history studied, and what are the facts of the money flow going on?

Sounds like a good start for a paper that really gets to the heart of the subjects and the issues that really are still in debate.

Global warming is the worst think that this planet has faced, and if not stopped, it could even mean the end of it as we know.
