How long is hand foot and mouth contagious?? Please Help!?

Friday sept 7th, my sons gum's were swollen and bleeding i got him to the dr. and she said he dosen't have anything. The next morning he had a break out on his mouth and other kid at daycare have this virus so i think its HFM. Hes almost back to normal and his break out is scabed over and there is no feaver. At this point is he contagious?

IT will take about a week, meanwhile put him on semisolid diet.
Prevent secondary infection.
