It doesn't to me. In fact, after doing a lot of research on customs back then, it would have been more contraversial if Jesus had not been married back then. A rabbi would not have been allowed to be single. And Jesus would have dishonored his parents and brought them shame if he had not been married.

Absolutely not. My faith is not rooted in the words written, rather, its in the feelings I have. I believe that the bible was written as a moral code, not necessarily a history book.

As a matter of fact, I have believed in the basic premise of this book for many years, many others believe the same also. Surely this makes Jesus more acceptable and shows that he was human and suffered from the same uncertainties and emotions that we all do !
