It seems as if our leaders are all for the sabatoge of our country and is for giving away the rights and privleges that are supposed to be only for Americans to illegal immigrants. Why have we remained idle...Americans? Why aren't the American masses rising up in mass protest? I am writing every elected official I know of because I am angry! Also, I do not want to be one country with Mexico or Canada! This is America! I am an a American! The Mexicans and Canadians have their own country! They do not need ours! What say you?

Unlike fyrecrowe stated there are ways to reverse the problem. In Atlanta, the hospital that has to take in all the illegals has been struggling to keep it's doors open, and this isn't the only hospital that is suffering the same ills. If we quit giving them free health care, prosecute those who employ and house them they would go home and quit coming. They need to come here legally just like everyone else did or stay out. As long as we roll over and just let it happen, there is no end in sight. Kudos for speaking out. We just have to let our voices be heard and hope it's not too little too late. God bless!!

Since when have our leaders ever been on our side, they are on their own side? They say and do whatever is politically expedient; whatever they think is most likely going to get them votes.

And with the current political climate they are scrambling trying to figure out if they should pander to the up and coming Hispanic Block, or the new political backlash against the invasion.

Look in California, we have one bill Gill Sedio trying every year to give Undocumented immigrants drivers licenses, claiming it should be their right, aside form the fact that in every drivers-ed class we are taught that driving is a privilege not a right.

Mayor Villar of LA (he had to give the Regosa back to his wife) is doing everything in his power to give the undocumented more rights and privileges than legal citizens.

And I do agree with what’s his name that many countries have cheep labor, and we probably need cheep labor, but in those countries with cheep labor, they have to be documented and they have to follow the proper channels.

Our 'Cheep' workforce have violated our sovereignty and flaunt our laws each and everyday, getting more and more brazen, demanding rights here that they don't get as citizens in their own country. Many are now claiming that we have stolen their country and they are coming to take it back, I notice that they don't think that they stole the country from the Aztecs.

But what is really fueling this move is globalization, we have to compete with the world, and European union. So I do not have to much of a problem with NAFTA highway. But we need strict accounting and monitoring, to ensure that proper procedures are followed before we just blindly open our borders to an eve larger influx of undocumented workers.

Is that what's going on? Or is it that the people aren't on the leader's sides?

Most foreign countries have sources of cheap labor. Going by the books and laws; America doesn't. You may think cheap labor is wrong, but any company with a brain knows that cheap labor is a secret to success in the market place. Lower operating costs means higher profits. Higher profits means more company security; less chance of a buyout or mass layoffs. Companies and politicians know this, that's why they allow it to happen. I would argue that if the average American can't see this and still opposes illegal immigration, then they are against America's side.

In 2007, illegal immigrants still have no rights on the books. They are only entitled to the rights their parent country gave them, but in the US they have NO RIGHTS. They are still given rights at the discretion of law enforcement and policy, but anybody that does not afford them the rights of a US citizen (such as ICE officials) face no penalty.

When poor workers rebelled and earned labor rights, rich elite powermongers rebelled and hired illegals to do 3 times the work for half the money. Follow the money trail. Who else would suffer if all the illegals were deported? Only the ones who profit from their cheap labor and can't conceive of hiring Americans.

I am an American Citizen and have no idea what you are talking about. I pay taxes, I work, I have health insurance. I don't see them taking away my job, you can't because my job requires you to be legal and other certain qualifications like a degree etc. So I am perfectly fine. Look if the politicians wanted to do something about it, don't you think they would've already? I mean come on, they found a man in a hole, didn't they? The only people I hear complaining are the minumum wage earners that live somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Get an education and no one can touch you! I worked 2 jobs to put myself through school! It can be done! Whining isn't going to do anything. You need to better yourself just like the illegals are, look they risked their life to be here and make a better living. They are not asking for hand outs like some people on the freeway ramps. They are WORKING! So you need to get to work too!

Well said, I agree completely. Our leaders need to be taught a lesson at the polls and find out what unemployment really means.

give me one example that your rights have been stripped by an illegal alien...Fact illegal aliens mock our rule of law. There are special laws for illegal aliens not available to any American such as document fraud largely goes unpunished. Our right to safe cites is in jeopardy simply because illegal aliens have long crime records from their country but here in America they are not allowed to even check that out until the illegal kills somebody.
