I guess it depends on how long your attention span is. Long attention spans are rare these days.

of course if i leave a question i would expect to read all answers long and short.. however if the long answer was really really really long, obviously not as long as this because this is not that long then i would probably skim read it. But there are circumstances when long answers just become long boring answers like this one and therefore after skim reading i may find that i wasted my time reading in the first place and therefore im glad that i skim read it. Hope this answers your question about long answers to questions. This obviously isnt too long and could actually be longer but its late and my hands are hurting somewhat so i shall bid you farewell and thank you for such an interesting question.

xx :-p lol

It doesn't matter if it's long or short for me. I have read long answers all the way through, and I have over looked short answers. I usually skim through all my answers before really reading it, and if an answer appears not to have any good points, I go on to the next answer, regardless of length.

Yes, I'll read a long answer. Not everything can be said sometimes with a few sentences. If I'm finding the long answer is filled with misspellings, poor grammar and run on sentences however, I stop reading.

I suppose it depends how long the answer is. If it comprises of more than 10 paragraphs I usually skim over it.

If its just two or three paragraphs then I can normally read through it no problem.

It's really a question of how interested you are in the subject that you actually posted th question about. I've just realised that this is actually quite a long answer and therefore you're probably ignoring it. So I should just stop typing now.

Actually, I think I'll copy and paste it twice just to make it extra long for comedy effect.

If I ask the question I read any and all answers. However if the long answer was a cut and paste job I don't finish it or vote it best answer.

Not really....some questions require long answers. If you want people to be thorough when answering your question....I wouldn't complain about it!
If you see that the answer is longer than what you prefer, then don't read it.Then again that one that you don't read could be the answer that you are looking for!!!!

Yes, if the answer is relevant to the question. No, if they simply copied and pasted something from the Internet to take up space or if it's one of those religious rants that had nothing to do with my question.

If you ask a question you have a duty to read the answers and choose a best answer.

O.K., yes I admit I do skim through the wordier ones.

Yes i read each and every answer, whether it be long or short as you never know what it says untill you read all of it.
